Slip testing results

Following my earlier blog post on 28 November, where I explored throwing and testing coloured slips, today the pieces emerged from their second firing, now finished with a transparent glaze. The slips had been applied before the bisque firing, and having so enjoyed the process of working with their velvety surfaces, I was hopeful for a good result. I’m delighted to say they did not disappoint. I’m extremely pleased with how everything has turned out, especially the small taster cups, which have a softness and depth that really reward close looking.
