Summer 2026
This is a small selection of work made over the past few months, reflecting an ongoing exploration of ceramic form and surface.
The salt marsh remains a constant point of reference—not simply as a landscape, but as a place of rhythm, change, and quiet observation. Its shifting tides, subtle textures, and seasonal transformations inform both the making process and the surfaces that emerge.
Running through the work is the Japanese concept of ichi-go ichi-e ("one time, one meeting"): the understanding that every moment is unique and can never be repeated. This philosophy resonates with my approach to making, where time is marked through repeated studio rituals, alongside moments spent walking, observing, and sharing time with friends and family. These experiences quietly become part of the work, leaving traces of memory, place, and the passing of time.
Together, these pieces reflect an evolving practice rooted in careful observation, material exploration, and a deep connection to landscape.
